Eugene Kaspersky Highlights Cyber Immunity at GITEX Asia 2025

Evgeny Kaspersky at GITEX spoke about Cyber Immunity as the future of security
Eugene Kaspersky Highlights Cyber Immunity at GITEX Asia 2025

At GITEX Asia in Singapore, Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky, joined the main stage for a fireside chat during the Digital AI Economy Summit. In a candid session titled «Speak Easy», moderated by Victor Ng, Editor-in-Chief of Thinklogic Media Group, Eugene shared insights on the future of cybersecurity in the face of rapidly evolving threats, including those powered by AI.

During the session, Eugene Kaspersky emphasized the growing need to rethink traditional approaches to cybersecurity. While cybercriminals are becoming faster, more collaborative, and unconstrained by regulation, many organizations still rely on reactive defenses that struggle to keep pace.

Economies may differ, but they are broadly heading in the same direction. When we look at different regions, I believe one of the smartest investments right now is in cyber technologies. This isn’t just the future — it’s already the present. And it’s one of the fastest-growing sectors. But with that, we mustn’t overlook cybersecurity. The issue we face today is that businesses and economies are pouring more and more resources into protecting themselves from cybercrime. As someone working in this field, I appreciate the investment — but I also believe it’s a dead-end strategy. We need a different approach. My view is that it’s time to redesign systems from the ground up. They shouldn’t just be secure — they should be immune.
Eugene Kaspersky
CEO, Kaspersky

Eugene Kaspersky introduced the concept of Cyber Immunity, a foundational shift toward systems built with security at the architectural level. He underscored this point by presenting a prototype of a secure-by-design mobile device running on KasperskyOS — a platform developed to make connected systems inherently resilient to cyberattacks. «It’s not Android,» he noted, «but it works. It’s unhackable — and I don’t need antivirus on it.»

Although the technology is not yet available for smartphones, it is already deployed in industrial systems, IoT devices, and other critical applications. «Cyber Immunity is no longer theory. It’s happening. And it’s built on real, working technology,» he told the audience.

To continue the conversation, Mr. Kaspersky invited attendees to visit the Kaspersky booth at GITEX, where the company showcased its latest Cyber Immune solutions in action.
